It was dawn when we arrived at Half Blood Hill. The guy, Zayne, who was holding the reins to the chariot, suddenly turned and grimaced. He told the older girl, Ashe, and I, "Hold tight, girls. We're going down hard." Then we slammed into the lake.
When I woke up, we were all in the infirmary. "I told you, she's okay!" A guy with blonde hair groaned. He looked thirteen, with sky blue eyes. "They slammed into that lake hard! It was, like, 75 km per hour!" Ashe argued. She had an arm in a sling. "Who's the healer here? She. Is. Fine!" Ashe stormed off, leaving me and the guy. He noticed me blinking up at him. "Hey, is anything painful?"
